About a week after students were abducted from a science school in Kagara Niger state, Governor Zulum of Zamfara state says their location has been identified.
According to him, the students are in Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State. Speaking on a TV program on Channels TV ,Sunday, he expressed hope that the students would regain freedom soon.

18 passengers abducted by bandits in niger state have regained their freedom Sunday night.
The 18 passengers, who are members of the same family, were abducted on Sunday last week on their way to Minna from Kontagora, where they went for a wedding.
According to a report on ITV news,they were received by the governor of the state, Sani Bello and members of the family at the government house Sunday night in Minna Niger state.
Early the bandits had demanded N50m, but later reduced it to N30m, but it could not be confirmed if government or the family made the payment.
Meanwhile, governor bello says efforts are still on to secure the release of the 42 persons kidnapped in a government school in Kagara.
