Reports say there was a fire at the immigration services headquarters in Abuja early Sunday morning.
Vital documents were reportedly destroyed by the fire.
Though the cause of the fire is yet to be revealed by the NIS, it was successfully put out by the fire service according to reports on NIS official twitter handle @nigimmigration.
“The fire has been put out by our Federal Fire Station & support from other agencies around the Airport”.
“The cause of the fire is being investigated. We assure the public that the incident will not in any way affect the discharge of our services,” it tweeted.
