The Chairman Nigerians in daspora commission,Abike Dabiri-Erewa says the 3rd Annual Diaspora Investment Summit is scheduled to hold on the
20th and 21st of November, 2020.
Recall that the summit which was to hold last month was put on hold because of the security situation as at then.
Speaking at the pre-event briefing for the two day virtual summit, the Chairman NIDCOM said the “essence of the summit is to create an avenue for prospective Investment and this will boost the Economic growth in Nigeria”
According to her, ” it will also showcase investment opportunities and developmental framework put in place to make investing in Nigeria more attractive to Nigerian Diaspo ran investors.
Expected to take part in the event are general participants, investors and guest speakers.
The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, GCON is the keynote speaker and will also declare the summit open.
Dabiri-Erewa called on Diasporans to join in this years Summit even though there is the Covid-19 pandemic.

The converner of the summit, Dr Badewa Williams who also spoke during the briefing harped on the need to leverage on help from Diasporans to fix Nigeria.
” We need to fix our country and we cannot do it alone.
” We need to focus on the social and economic opportunities for our people, how to help them. We look at the small businesses. There are the people that will have the profound effect. This summit will impact them in the most profitable way”.
Speaking on the expected benefits of the summit Dr Williams said ” its about maintaining their homes, expanding their businesses,its about creating jobs. There is a lot of youth restlessness because they are clamoring for change. These are the people that we will give prominence at this summit”.
