Manchester United have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after defeating LASK Linz 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The result of the tie was never in doubt as United held a 5-0 advantage from the first leg but the Austrian side did threaten an upset on the night after taking a surprise lead, before goals from Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial secured victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, 7-1 on aggregate.
United will now face FC Copenhagen in the quarter-finals in a one legged knock-out tie in Cologne on Monday, August 10.
