Following the publication of the names of 80 persons, mostly Nigerians ,operating as fraudsters in different parts of the US,the Federal government has expressed disapproval of such Nigerians.
In a statement signed by the Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa,the government says the actions of those few Nigerians will have a negative impact on other Nigerians.
“Prior indictment of these 80 persons of which Valentine Iro and Chukwu Igbokwe are lead suspects, Obinwanne Okeke had earlier been arrested”.
“We acknowledge the fact that accusation does not mean guilt, and we hope the accused will be given fair and speedy trial”.
