48 hours after his inauguration for a second term as Minister of transportation, Rt.Hon Rotimi Amaechi has returned to the rail tracks.
The minister who started off inspecting tracks between Ebute Metta and Apapa expressed dismay at the lull in the work at the Apapa station which is to be overhauled in the two months he has been away.
He gave the Chinese one month to make appreciable progress in remodeling the Station which is to be expanded to include,shops,warehouses and promote commercial activities.
He made a stopover at Costain where there was signs of progress with the bride already taking shape and structures impeding work removed.
The Minister accompanied by the Chairman Nigerian railway corporation board, Engr Ibrahim Alhassan and the MD Nigerian railway corporation Engr Freeborn Okhiria then headed towards the Ibadan axis for further inspection of the project.
