Politics have been described as a “game” where there are no permanent friends but permanent interests.
The seeming long drawn “battle” between Senator Akpabio and Former Governor Ameachi seem to be taking a possibly new positive dimension as the two leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the South-South region, met each other to iron out their perceived political differences, a party spokesperson has said.
The meeting, which was believed to be at the instance of Akpabio brokered by Mr Danu in the Asokoro district of Abuja.
Over the weekend, our correspondent, was at a burial event at Akwa ibom where Senator Akpabio Godswill embraced Senator Ekpenyong chris, indicating a “settlement” of their long drawn political differences.
In the peak of the disagreement with Senator Ekpenyong chris posited that Senator Akpabio “could not leave any sustainable, economic project that will make the people remember that there was a time they had a governor, and a senator.”
But all that is seeming in the past now.
A big lesson to those that lose their lives “fighting” the causes of individuals rather than that of the collectives.
