President Muhammad Buhari has received the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Althani, who is on a state visit to Nigeria.
The emir is coming three years after President Buhari visited Doha, the Qatari capital in February 2016, where he attended a meeting of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The Qatari leader arrived the presidential villa, Abuja, shortly after noon on Tuesday.
It would be recalled that the Emir sent a cable of congratulations to Buhari on his re-election, wishing the Nigerian President success and the Nigerian people further development and progress
He was received by Mr Buhari at the forecourt of the president’s office.
The two leaders then went into a closed-door meeting.
